Recurrent Events

Each year Young Explorers, together with the School Community engages in two main events:
The Family Barbecue :
This even brings together new and old families to boost the community spirit at our School, enabling parents and children alike to bond in a relaxed and playful atmosphere.
Fundraising Events :
These initiatives aim to raise funds to improve the school facilities for the benefit of all children. Additionally, funds may be allocated to sponsor children from low-income families who are unable to afford the full tuition at Young Explorers. These events may take different forms and are crucial in applying the School’s vision to give access to quality education to children from all social and economic backgrounds.
The End of Year Program :
On the last Saturday of June each year, the School Community gathers to listen to the children perform songs, dances, sketches and presentations. This is followed by a family picnic to celebrate the achievements of the young learners during the entire academic year.
Parent Workshops:
In addition, the School Administration organizes every two months special Workshops focusing on pedagogical themes to enable parents to better acquaint themselves with the values and principles of the Montessori system and foster the cooperation between the teaching staff and the families. These Workshops are highly interactive and typically delve on challenges that parents face at home, in a bid to find common solutions and pragmatic options to overcome them.
Field Trips:
Field Trips are organized to allow the pupils to explore fascinating professional and / or cultural settings, thus delving into specific topics and themes discussed in class. Parents often contribute ideas and support these outings based on their professional networks and personal commitment.

Other in-house events that are regularly celebrated amongst students and staff:

Individual birthdays :
Every child and school staff are celebrated by the school. Parents are welcome to bring a cake or snacks to boost the event.
